Job Information

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Assigned to processing or packaging areas; first priority for breakdowns.
Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdown calls.
Work on PMs and WOs as directed by Maintenance Lead Technicians or Coordinator.
Participate in projects as requested by Plant Engineer or Maintenance Lead Technician.
Assist with line changeovers as needed.
Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, including packaging and conveying systems.
Set up or modify equipment for item changeovers.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections according to checklists.
Document work using shift turnover forms and logbooks.
Follow quality control, safety regulations, and good manufacturing practices.
Identify faulty operations and report issues to Coordinators.
Maintain clean work areas and tools.
Weld safely using various equipment and complete hot work permits.
Operate machining equipment safely and correctly.
Construct and modify equipment from instructions or blueprints.
Collaborate with Managers, Coordinators, and operators for timely repairs.
Train other mechanics and employees.
Understand boiler equipment, including pumps and controls.
Have knowledge of HVAC systems.
Know closed-loop chilled water systems.
Troubleshoot and repair press vacuum systems.
Conduct water-testing analysis as per specifications.
Perform weekly fire inspections.
Maintain regular attendance.
Other duties as assigned by a Coordinator or Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
