Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will handle all accounts payable functions, including auditing, validating, and processing all invoices for payment. You will assist departments with researching and resolving invoice discrepancies, communicating with vendors, and ensuring good standing with the vendors. The role requires matching invoices to delivery tickets and communicating with the buyer/purchasing department if any price discrepancies occur. You will conduct weekly check runs, including entering and processing wire payments, and verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Daily tasks include opening mail and filing weekly check copies in vendor files. You will also complete month-end and year-end closing procedures and verify W-9 information for 1099-MISC at year end.

Hard Skills

  • Accounts payable experience

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (calculations and basic formulas)

  • Experience with any accounting software

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong communication skills

  • Problem-solving abilities
