Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Description

This position involves assembling mechanical and pneumatic components of automation equipment, as well as testing, debugging, installing, and repairing these systems. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. This position is a project role that will go through January 2025.

Hard Skills

  • Complex Mechanical Assembly/Machine Building

  • Schematic Reading

  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

  • Basic manual machining (Lathe, Mills, Drill)

  • Dimensional layout

  • Use of conventional and CNC machine tools

  • Basic knowledge of machine shop practices

  • Proficiency in CAD systems (SolidWorks, Cadkey, AutoCAD, Inventor)

  • Interpreting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings, diagrams, and schematics

Soft Skills

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude

  • Good knowledge of pneumatic control and common devices

  • Excellent documentation ability

  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently

  • Good interpersonal, communication, and time management skills

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English

  • Knowledge of general safety standards

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Wilsonville, Oregon.
