Overview:

TE Connectivity is seeking candidates a Production Operator III position at our Wilsonville, OR facility. Production Operator III is responsible for operating machines and performing Quality Inspection Plans to produce quality parts. This role requires inspections of molded products and packaging of the molded products as well as troubleshooting whenever issues may arise. The ideal candidate can work well in teams, has the desire to learn and possess the attention to detail needed to make quality parts for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and adjusts and repairs. This would include adjustments and all aspects of changeovers, replacing sensors, tooling, air cylinders, belts, etc.

  • May perform sharpening, repairing or conditioning of tooling.

  • Perform Quality Inspection Plan, inspecting product to print and QIP, using required gages and measuring devices to ensure product is acceptable.

  • Operate assigned mechatronics processes, order and stock components, restart production and remove and package finished product. Perform all paperwork, tooling and/or program changeovers when necessary or as directed.

  • Completes necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the integrity of the work cell.

  • Perform preventative maintenance as required.

  • May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs (clearing jams, re-start, etc.) to equipment.

  • General housekeeping of work area.

  • Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies.

  • Follows safety guidelines.

  • Performs all other work related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED.

  • Associate’s Degree in Machine Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of technical skills/ability.

  • Basic computer and math skills.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret product blueprints.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.

  • Experience using measuring devices (gages, callipers, etc.)

  • 3 years’ prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time

  • Must be able to operate machinery

  • Must be able to move between work zones

  • Must be proficient in the English language.

Job Overview

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.50/Hour to $21.15/Hour + 7% Shift Differential for Back Half Days (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
