The Sr. Project Manager - Reactor Modification Services has responsibility and authority for management and delivery for assigned projects including engineering, hardware and tooling development, safety, quality, production, and schedule conformance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Reports to the Manager, Reactor Modification Services and reports functionally to the Product Line Lead responsible for fleet wide modifications of the respective vessel internals system (Bottom Head, Jet Pump, Shroud / FW / CS, Steam Dryer / Moisture Separator).

• Support Oversight and management of project engineering, procurement, QC, financials (especially cost forecasting and control), staffing, and training / qualifications prior to site implementation.

• Support appropriate relations and interact effectively with multiple levels of the customer organization on commercial, technical, and compliance issues.

• Support project planning, risk forecasting, and management.

• Provides work coordination and supervision to GE and contingent workers performing engineering and other functional activities necessary for project delivery.

• Interface with Field Delivery PM.

• Ensures Field Delivery PM participation in key design reviews, tooling and hardware shakedown, training, and qualifications primarily measured on project success as measured by the following:

• Setting a tone within the business of integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.

• Customer satisfaction in key business defined areas.

• Meeting or exceeding project financial targets.

• Field execution and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited university with 6 years of experience working in a related technical field/industry OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience in the Nuclear Services Industry.

• Minimum 5 years of Nuclear Industry work experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management.

Eligibility Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time in both the US and International.

• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to Nuclear Plants.

• The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.

Desired Characteristics

• Prior experience with proposals, pricing and billing practices.

• Established project management skills.

• Proven ability to manage complex projects.

• BWR vessel internal hardware knowledge / experience.

• Knowledge of nuclear industry products and services.

• Experience with contracting issues associated with technical projects.

• Experience working with nuclear plant outages/services and with customers

• Strong communication skills and ability to develop team relationships, including vendors and global teams.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers and technical support teams.

• Strong grasp of reactor vessel internal hardware design issues, balanced with understanding of complexities of field delivery.

• Flexible to changing environment and work stakeholders.

• Ability to rapidly identify problems and contribute to prompt resolution.

• Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook.

• Use of GEH support systems (i.e. PIP, PLM, Box, RedShare, GE Folders, Oracle, iProGEct, Tableau).

• Technical writing background a plus.

The base pay range for this position is 104k – 140k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 9/20/24.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
