Piping Specification Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Piping Specification Engineer responsible for overseeing pipe material specifications. The role includes creating, updating, and maintaining these specifications, as well as collaborating with various engineering teams and integrating specifications into design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain pipe material specifications.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to produce documents and calculations.

  • Collaborate with systems and commodity engineers to understand needs and develop new specifications.

  • Interface with BIM tool owners to integrate pipe specifications into the design process.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with selection, classification, and procurement of piping commodities such as pipe, tubing, fittings, valves, and inline components.

  • Knowledge of Section III and B31.1 piping analysis minimal wall calculations.

  • Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and other pipe/component specifications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote work environment. Strong communication skills are essential to interface with multiple teams and other engineers, assisting them in using the appropriate specifications

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
