Acadia Healthcare Medication Aide in Wilmington, North Carolina

Description

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works with our admitting patients by completing vitals, pre-admission tests, intake documentation

  • Completes vitals, performs various tests (glucose, UDS, HcG, etc.)

  • Performs patient rounds

  • Medication Administration

  • Assists with patient/luggage/room searches

  • Transports patients as requested

  • Performs administrative duties associated with the nursing/medical department (lab reports, ordering supplies, patient census, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Current NC CNA certification

  • Current Medication Aide Certification

  • ability to administer medications (training available on site).

  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

  • Crisis Prevention and CPR Certification (offered on site)

  • Ability to work with male and female adult (18+) patients with chemical dependency and mental health disorders

  • Teamwork and excellent customer service

Preferred:

  • Experience working with substance use and mental health disorders

  • Knowledge of 12-step programs
