  • Job Title: Data Analytics Developer
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Reports to: Senior Vice President and Vice President of Analytics
  • Base Salary Range: $70k-90k per year

Brief Summary of Work for this Position Under supervision of Analytics team leadership, plays an active role in data collection, verification, aggregation, analysis, and reporting necessary for the management of networks or specific client engagement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to gathering and analyzing information, database management, and supporting client presentations with findings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports and works with databases for management, review, and analysis.
  • Collaborates with team members to collect and analyze data and create reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assuring accuracy and integrity, structures large data sets to find usable information.
  • Uses graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data for internal and external meetings with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Works with a team of analysts and other associates to process information.
  • Creates presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
  • Provides quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
  • Supports the commissioning and decommissioning of confidential data and information according to guidelines and requirements.
  • Supports and coordinates the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provides regular updates to all incorporated parties including formal and informal presentation, data analysis and support for day-to-day network operations.
  • Participates in data focused intervention to address network and member performance opportunities.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelors degree with coursework related to database management, data processing, information systems, and/or data analytics. Solid knowledge of SQL. Experience with tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI and/or other data processing and visualization tools. Proven performance in fast-paced and evolving spaces.

  • Strong focus and ability to work autonomously, balance multiple priorities, and reasonably anticipate needs from tasks at hand and fellow team members.
  • Flexibility and ability to work remotely, coordinate effectively both in person and virtually, and communicate any logistical information to project manager(s).
  • Ability to coordinate projects with strategic and tactical information into practical applications that are easily understood by all employees and clients across a wide range of non-technical skill sets and backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic understanding and comprehension of healthcare industry vocabulary and processes.
  • Keen attention to detail with high standards of quality.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated outstanding academic performance and an aptitude for research and analysis.
  • Strong record of initiative-taking and leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities.
  • Interest in improving patient care and population health as well as a genuine interest in healthcare, business operations, and find problem solving exhilarating.

Technology Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong working knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, visualization and editing software, cloud environments, and working knowledge of compatibility troubleshooting, and ability to troubleshoot routine technological issues. Other technology skills include:
  • Solid knowledge of SQL.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Exc l.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or any other programming language is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and/or Power BI is preferred, but not mandatory.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Bachelors degree in data analytics, computer science, health-data related field, business analytics, and/or other related technical bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution. Certification in data analysis, SQL, and/or other related certifications.

Experience/Skills

  • Proficiency with SQL.
  • Completion of data-driven projects and tested hypothesis using data analytics.
  • Implementation of data-driven advanced projects and toolsets.
  • Certification or specialization in research, data analytics, process improvement, or project management.
