Overview 

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer - Cloud who is a self-starter to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment that can join our enterprise data team. This is an individual contributor role that is responsible for designing and developing data solutions that are strategic for the business and built on the latest technologies in the financial ecosystem 

You will:

  • Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of large data pipelines to support payments data life cycle.

  • Interface with stakeholders and other capability team members to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.

  • Assess, develop, and deploy several data connectors to external data sources that are financial ecosystem-related.

You have:

  • 4 - 7 years’ experience in Data Engineering or a similar field with demonstrable experience in the finance industry preferred.

  • 3+ years as a Data Engineer working with AWS resources and big data frameworks, including but not limited to AWS Glue, EMR, S3, RDS, Lambda, Hadoop, and Spark.

  • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python or Java.

  • Expertise with CI/CD tooling and practices.

  • Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and maintaining complex data (ELT/ETL) pipelines at the enterprise level with cloud infrastructure and terabyte scale.

  • Experience working with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Dagster.

  • Familiarity with data governance principles, data quality management, and data security best practices.

Nice to have: 

  • Streaming exposure (Kafka, Spark streaming, Apache Flink, Amazon Kinesis).

  • Architecture & data certifications that are cloud-related (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer Associate, Data Engineer Pro, etc).

  • Snowflake or Databricks exposure.
