Robert Half Litigation Legal Assistant in Wilmington, Delaware
Description We are looking for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, you will be providing critical support in business and chancery litigation matters, which include corporate governance disputes and mergers and acquisitions litigation.
Responsibilities:
• Drafting and preparing legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions for Delaware Chancery Court and other jurisdictions.
• Electronic filing of documents with Delaware Chancery Court and federal courts while ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules.
• Assisting attorneys in case preparation by conducting legal research using tools like Westlaw and LexisNexis.
• Handling organization and management of case files, which includes maintaining physical and electronic records, calendars, and deadlines.
• Scheduling and coordinating hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Assisting in trial preparation tasks, including preparation of exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
• Managing time-sensitive deadlines and prioritizing workload in a high-paced environment. Requirements • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Possess a strong understanding and practical experience in Business & Commercial Law.
• Demonstrated experience as a Legal Assistant, specifically in litigation.
• Skilled in legal research and documentation.
• Capable of managing and archiving legal documentation effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong multitasking ability with a focus on meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Must be detail oriented and ethical.
• Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations.
