Amergis Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Schools in Wilmington, Delaware

S eeking a FT BCBA for the remainder of the school year.

  • 35 - 37.5 hours a week

  • Monday - Friday

  • Students range from K - 8th grade

Behavior Analysis and Intervention Development

? Identify underlying goals of maladaptive behaviors and environmental factors

maintaining these behaviors.

? Design individualized, evidence-based interventions to help students meet their needs

through prosocial behaviors.

? Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that align with schools

resources and processes, particularly for students demonstrating repeated amplified

needs and externalizing behaviors.

? Support teachers with classroom modifications to facilitate effective intervention delivery

and Amergisize student engagement.

Direct Student Support

? Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support within or outside of classroom

settings.

? Deliver structured social skills instruction and behavior management strategies in mental

health settings, classrooms, and parent coaching.

? Directly support struggling students and assist with behavior redirection, aiming to

reduce frequent referrals and enhance student engagement.

? Monitor and document student progress frequently and maintain updated records,

offering weekly progress reports to families.

Collaboration and Communication

? Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, behavior interventionists,

paraprofessionals, and 1:1 to address behavioral needs and develop holistic support

plans.

? Assist in the planning and facilitating of parent workshops and informational professional

Development trainings on behavioral strategies, aligning with schools Counseling

Support Program.

? Actively communicate with teachers and parents to reinforce support plans and ensure

consistent implementation.

Data Management and Reporting

? Maintain a templated progress document for each student, including details on target

concerns, goals, progress, objectives, and next steps.

? Track students receiving behavioral support services through schools designated

spreadsheets or database system (e.g., Kickboard).

? Maintain student records as outlined within the Behavioral Health Process and

Procedures.

? Monitor the effectiveness of interventions within a 30-day timeframe and modify student

plans as needed for optimal response to intervention.

Professional Development and Community Engagement

? Serve as a resource on behavioral strategies and techniques for paraprofessionals,

teachers, and the broader community.

? Coach staff on appropriate behavioral redirection methods and response techniques for

negative behaviors.

? Assist with Tier 3 interventions and support one-on-one student needs to foster a

supportive learning environment.

Additional Duties

? Provide life skills instruction and assist families in establishing healthy routines.

? Ensure compliance with FERPA and confidentiality guidelines to protect student privacy

in all interactions.

? Maintain a private setting conducive to individualized support for students as needed.

? Performs other duties as assigned by the BHIM

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

  • Experience in a school or clinical setting, working with students with behavioral challenges

  • Knowledge of Tiered Intervention Models, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and progress monitoring strategies

  • ? Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst – ES providesconsultation, training, conducts behavioral evaluations and develops/implementsbehavior intervention plans for individuals with academic and behavioraldeficits. The Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst – ES acts as a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, andsupervises educational activities and behavioral service delivery in the schoolsetting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts functional behavior assessments and educationalassessments, accurately identifying the function of challenging behavior andsocially valid, pivotal behaviors to target

  • Develops strong collaborative relationships and providestraining to school staff to implement effective applied behavior analysistechniques. Provides ongoing support andtraining to related field staff ensuring treatment integrity and supportingprofessional growth

  • Investigates concerns and provides coaching and disciplinaryaction when appropriate

  • Develops behavior goals according to the needs and abilitiesof the student

  • Determines prevention, intervention and consequencestrategies utilizing non-aversive behavior change methods

  • Collects, analyzes and reports data and other documentationwithin established time frames to ensure program validity and efficacy percontract guidelines

  • Attends and presents behavioral progress at IEP meetings

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching,psychology or related field

  • Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programsand services in schools

  • One (1) year minimum pediatric experience preferred

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

  • Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site

  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required

  • Computer proficiency required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
