M&T Bank ASU Wealth Administrator in Wilmington, Delaware

Overview:

Considered the subject matter expert for a key activity performed within their team or business line. Applies practical experience and industry expertise to execute a specific function with focus on compliance and risk mitigation. Autonomy and less daily oversight.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret Wealth documents and apply fiduciary, legal and statutory knowledge and experience to execute function.

  • Communicate with internal and external business partners and related service partners. Serve as primary subject matter expert for a key process.

  • Escalate or resolve non-standard or high risk exceptions as appropriate, and act as escalation point for activities falling within their SME scope.

  • Work independently to perform processing of complex requirements.

  • Contributor of ideas for process improvements.

  • Identify, report and escalate all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities.

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years’ financial services experience,

OR in lieu of a degree,

A combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ financial services experience

Demonstrated success operating in a team environment

Experience using word processing and spreadsheet

Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed

Effective communication skills

Self-motivated well organized individual

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Statistics

5 years’ experience in financial services industry

Advanced degrees (JD, CFP, CTFA)

Understanding of Wealth Management and/or Capital Markets business

Knowledge of M&T systems and culture

Ability to work under time constraints

Attention to detail and good organizational skills and communication skills

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $66,979.45 - $111,632.42 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
