The Agronomy Sales Intern will assist in day-to-day operations of the Agronomy Department working under the supervision of the Agronomy Location Manager. Interns will work full time during the growing season (May - August) and can expect to learn all aspects of retail agronomy including sales, customer service, crop scouting and how recommendations are made. [The hours are 7 am - 6 pm during May and June. [[Interns will leave this experience with valuable connections with the local farming community and with Horizon Resources to enter the retail agronomy workforce. • Assisting with daily operations of the agronomy department including working with customers in person and over the phone
• Maintaining and tracking inventory
• Safely operating company pick-ups and forklifts
• Assist with crop scouting including the operation of an ATV
• Learn to use agronomy programs such as Agvance and FarmQA
