Robert Half Senior Accountant in Willingboro, New Jersey

Description

International firm located in Southern New Jersey seeks a Senior Accountant with experience working for a publicly traded or a private equity backed company. In this Senior Accountant role, you will handle the reporting and filing of sales and income tax, coordinate intercompany account reconciliation, and oversee lease accounting. As a forward-thinking finance professional, you'll forecast cash flows and predict future trends for management. Your duties will also include preparing a comprehensive analysis of Accounts Receivable and Payable, instigating month-end closedown for financial report generation, reconciling Balance Sheets and General Ledger monthly, and producing comprehensive schedules for audit processes. Your responsibilities:

  • Report and file Sales Tax and Income Tax

  • Organize the reconciliation process of intercompany accounts

  • Manage Lease Accounting

  • Create cash flow forecasts and projections for the management team

  • Analyze and prepare aging of Accounts Receivable and Payable

  • Conduct month-end closedown for the generation of financial reports

  • Balance and reconcile General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis

  • Produce schedules for audit processes

    Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.

Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Corporate accounting experience preferred

  • Prior experience with Excel spreadsheets

  • Knowledge of Prophet 21 a plus but not essential

  • Detail Oriented

  • Problem-solving abilities
