Life Storage Revenue Management Analyst in Williamsville, New York

Position: Revenue Management Analyst

Location: Williamsville, NY

We have an immediate opening for a Revenue Management Analyst at our global headquarters in Amherst, NY. This position will be full-time, M-F, and supports hybrid work. The successful candidate will drive financial performance by managing pricing and promotions for a portfolio of stores, leveraging analytics, an understanding of customer behavior and revenue management principles. Revenue Management is the application of disciplined analytics that predict consumer behavior at micro-market levels to optimize product availability and price to maximize revenue growth.

The Revenue Management Analyst will:

Analyze store performance and formulate weekly pricing recommendations for a portfolio of stores Be the in-house expert on the competitive markets within their portfolios, recommend responses to market changes, and communicate opportunities and consumer behavior Research and analyze customer behavior to understand the most effective pricing and promotion tactics to employ Communicate insights with internal management and with external ownership groups. Create and distribute interim forecasts and projections of performance, and assist in annual financial planning exercises Collaborate with internal and external management teams to define and execute on tactical pricing and promotion strategies Create and maintain and interpret analytics reporting, data visualizations and ad-hoc analytics Participate in the development of data science models, A/B testing and process improvement projects to optimize long term revenue generation technique

Skills and Experience:

2-5 years work experience in an analytical business function, preferably in a consumer-focused industry Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, Finance and/or Marketing. Graduate level preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively tailor technical concepts for less technical audiences Strong Excel skills, with understanding of marketing and finance principles. Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) Advanced data analytics skills, with experience or training in creating reports using SQL, Tableau, Python, R or equivalent Experience, education or interesting in regression modeling, machine learning and/or optimization techniques a plus
