Job Title: Residential Supervisor Department: Residential Treatment

Department

Gateway Longview’s Residential Treatment Services is a therapeutic intervention for youth ages 12-18 and supports them in developing the skills needed to successfully live with their families or in the community.

Compensation

$21.25 - $23.00 per hour

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor day to day functioning of the residential units

  • Work directly with Youth Care Professionals to ensure continuity of therapeutic services

  • Respond to and Oversee all conflict resolution situations

  • Create a professional working environment through direct supervision of Youth Care Professionals

  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner

  • Fulfill other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Current NYS Driver’s License

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

  • Ability to build rapport with youth based on healthy boundaries, effective communication and mutual respect

  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, patience, and active listening

  • Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles

  • Ability to physically restrain if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Theology, Social Work

  • 2 years related experience and 1 year of supervisory experience in Human Services

  • Demonstrated experience working with youth in professional or volunteer capacity
