REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred 1+ years of experience insurance knowledge, 1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist preferred, - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information, Must be able to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Front Office Receptionist/Billing Clerk will provide compassionate customer service, verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients and check on claims that have been denied or not processed. Efficiently gather insurance information from patients and communicate their financial obligations and their insurance benefits. Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer phone calls and schedule appointments. Collect payments from patients and balance daily transactions. Coordinate projects as assigned by the office manager. Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, and copying. Assist with proofreading documents as needed. This is a part-time position typically working 21-24 hours weekly after training with opportunity for pay increase as well as moving to full time, and possibly moving into an office manager position. Starting pay is dependent on experience. Pay: $11.50 - $17.00 per hour based on experience.
