Job Title: Machine Builder

Job Description

This position contributes to the manufacturing of quality blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and all sub-assemblies using power and hand tools, precision tools, and any other required tools and equipment. The role involves ensuring compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Build or manufacture items according to drawings and bill of materials to established production quality and quantity as scheduled.

• Proficiently use precision measuring equipment.

• Assist with training of employees when necessary.

• Provide phone or on-site consultation to customers/vendors when necessary.

• Maintain and repair building/installed equipment or new equipment as assigned.

• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure good housekeeping for quality and safe operations.

• Assist in other departments as a temporary assignment.

• Confer with supervisors, engineering, production personnel, or others to resolve manufacturing problems.

• Report shortages of parts, tools, and materials in a timely manner.

• Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.).

• Possess personal hand tools to perform tasks effectively.

• Use mainframe computers.

• Develop specifications from general descriptions and draw sketches of parts or products to be manufactured.

• Work with both metric and inch systems.

• Submit daily time accounting, payroll information, and other requested paperwork.

Essential Skills

• Ability to build sub-assemblies and/or final machine assemblies.

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

• Perform layouts, drilling, tapping, and pinning.

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
