Job Title: Machine Builder
Job Description
This position contributes to the manufacturing of quality blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and all sub-assemblies using power and hand tools, precision tools, and any other required tools and equipment. The role involves ensuring compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety standards.
Responsibilities
Build or manufacture items according to drawings and bill of materials to established production quality and quantity as scheduled.
Proficiently use precision measuring equipment.
Assist with training of employees when necessary.
Provide phone or on-site consultation to customers/vendors when necessary.
Maintain and repair building/installed equipment or new equipment as assigned.
Perform preventative maintenance and ensure good housekeeping for quality and safe operations.
Assist in other departments as a temporary assignment.
Confer with supervisors, engineering, production personnel, or others to resolve manufacturing problems.
Report shortages of parts, tools, and materials in a timely manner.
Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.).
Possess personal hand tools to perform tasks effectively.
Use mainframe computers.
Develop specifications from general descriptions and draw sketches of parts or products to be manufactured.
Work with both metric and inch systems.
Submit daily time accounting, payroll information, and other requested paperwork.
Essential Skills
Ability to build sub-assemblies and/or final machine assemblies.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Perform layouts, drilling, tapping, and pinning.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
