Stellant Systems Process Specialist in Williamsport, Pennsylvania

*Job Location: Williamsport, PA *

Shift Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday -- 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM

 

Under general supervision, performs varied tasks to assemble electro-mechanical components of products.  Performs precise assembly tasks on components requiring a high degree of hand-to-eye coordination.

  • Perform brazing operations defined on furnace tickets
  • Document work into computer, on log sheets and on furnace tickets.
  • Load and unload furnaces.  Some assemblies with fixturing can weigh in excess of 40 pounds.
  • Visually inspect furnaces including
    • heating elements
    • seals
    • loading equipment.
  • Check for hydrogen leaks.
  • Perform safety inspections on hoists.
  • Periodically check furnace temperature with analytical devices (i.e. pyrometer).
  • Work with other departments to identify and implement corrective actions related to brazing operations.
  • Identify areas for improving own work.
  • Be at work area prepared to work during scheduled time.
  • Maintain work area in clean / orderly manner.
  • Maintain barcode accuracy at 100%
  • Coordinate with previous shift on status of in-process activities
  • Inform next shift of status of in-process activities including completion of status log (aka pass-down instructions)
  • Inspect/PM equipment as specified.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma required
  • Prior experience with heat treatments preferred.
  • Able to perform mathematical calculations. 
  • Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
