JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Wilkes-Barre is currently seeking a Part-Time Surveying Lab Assistant. TheSurveyingLabAssistantwill help the course instructor(s) in the  delivery of SUR 111, SUR 241, and SUR 212 (total of 4 hours per week for the Fall semester) and SUR 162 and SUR 313 (total of 4 hours per week for the Spring semester), guiding the students through the use and care ofsurveyingequipment to completelaboratory exercises. TheLabAssistantis required to monitor thesurveyingequipment room (1 hour per week).This position will report to theSurveyingProgram Coordinator or his designee.

Requirements and qualifications:

Ensure that the instruments are in their appropriate lockers and that equipment is returned to the appropriate lockers.

Making sure batteries for thesurveyingequipment are charged and ready for student use and ensuring that thelabequipment is in good working order.

Ensure the room and lockers are cleaned and organized.

TheAssistantwill report all defective instruments and those that require maintenance to the supervisor.

Requirements and qualifications:

Must be an undergraduatesurveyingstudent.
