Job Description

Summary: Perform light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hotels, restaurants, and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service by offering one-on-one attention to detail.

• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.

• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.

• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.

• Dust and polish furniture and fittings.

• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.

• Empty and clean trash containers.

• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.

• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and glass surfaces.

• Make up beds and change linens as required.

• Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.

• Respond to guest queries and requests.

• Address housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.

• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be comfortable with extensive walking as the hospital is large.

• Good customer service skills are essential as the role involves interaction with people in a hospital environment.

• Must work 2 weekends per month.

• Flexible schedule: 1st week - 2 weekdays off, 2nd week - 2 weekend days off. Alternatively, part-time options are available for more flexibility.

Work Environment

Work at Via Christi St Francis Hospital cleaning rooms for patients during the entire shift. The role involves sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and changing bedding. Hospital environment requires a professional and customer-focused attitude.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
