Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for overseeing the daily food production operations for Patient Food Service, Physicians Dining Room, Cafeteria and Catering.

• Ensures that all food items are prepared, served and stored according to HACCP and regulatory agency standards. Maintains high standards of quality, safety and sanitation.

• Assists with menu development for cafeteria, physicians dining, catering events and patients. Assists with coordination of large catered functions.

• Effectively supervises staff, assists in the hiring, counseling, coaching and development of staff. Appropriately documents all staff records, i.e., annual evaluations, disciplinary process, etc.

• Serves as a resource and culinary expert for community and hospital wide events.

• Assists with division wide culinary initiatives.

• Assumes accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited program, Associates Degree, or Technical Degree in related field preferred.

• Minimum of 3-5 years Professional Culinary Leadership experience in a high volume, fine dining restaurant, country club, hotel or healthcare organization required.

• Comprehensive knowledge of food & catering trends with focus on quality, sanitation, production & presentation required

• Registered Food Service Manager (RFSM) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

• Food Handlers Permit must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
