Aerotek Quality Inspector in Wichita, Kansas

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

Responsible for performing both in-process and end-of-line inspections against established inspection criteria for several important pieces of Boeing aircraft, including the fuselage of the 737 and 787.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process and end-of-line inspections for Boeing aircraft components.

  • Ensure compliance with established inspection criteria.

  • Document and report any discrepancies or defects found during inspections.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Essential Skills

  • 3 years of experience working in manufacturing or as an automotive technician.

  • 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with aerospace standards.

  • Experience using calibrated inspection tools.

  • Experience with quality assurance principles, methods, and processes.

  • Intermediate level skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

This position offers the opportunity to advance into a trainer, lead, or supervisory role. Additionally, mileage to and from work will be reimbursed at $.67/mile.

Work Environment

Currently, the team consists of 80 employees working across all three shifts, 24/7. Candidates are needed on the 2nd or 3rd shift: 2nd shift (Mon-Fri; 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) and 3rd shift (Mon-Fri; 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM). No overtime is offered during the week, but it is available on weekends. Each individual is expected to be open to working at least one day of the weekend every other week.

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
