Job Summary: Responsible for fieldwork and related findings of IT audit assignments and special projects. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to plan and accomplish assignments. Some creativity and latitude are expected. Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and best practices in the industry. Provides some support for employees throughout the organization. Uses skills and knowledge to exercise judgment and perform responsibilities which have a significant and distinct effect on the bank and/or the bank’s resources. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s character qualities.
Essential Functions:
• All expectations described in the job description’s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Responsible for audit assignments and special projects assigned.
• Assists external auditors and regulators as needed.
• Effectively compares, analyzes, and interprets hardware/software configurations.
• Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensures adequate IT infrastructure, general and application controls are in place.
• Evaluates the level of risk and mitigating controls and whether corrective action is necessary.
• Adequately documents work papers, prepares detailed reports of audit findings, and presents any irregularities or exceptions to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensures corrective action or mitigating controls for outstanding audit issues.
• Interacts with employees of the organization, and external auditors.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related degree required. Five years of experience desired but not required.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Must have specialized knowledge in Systems auditing. Some knowledge of best practice standards. Good analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. The ability to work with employees in the organization. Proficient in use of Microsoft software applications with knowledge of firewalls, web servers, routers, and communications. Knowledge and/or ability to learn numerous programming languages, operating system architectures, systems development techniques, system design and analysis.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Certifications such as CISA or CISSP, etc. preferred but not required.
Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time may be spent viewing a personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to hear and speak clearly both face-to-face and over the phone. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions: Normal office conditions. Some travel required.
