Job Purpose: Assembles all new production products and their sub systems by performing the following duties. Works under direct supervision of the Lab Supervisor.
Essential Functions include the following:
- Read and use prints and travelers to build the specific parts needed to build the\ sub-assemblies for new products.
- Complete assigned tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Compiles information and indicates on paperwork and computer the completion of each sub-assembly step as it is completed.
- Ensures work areas are orderly and audit ready at all times.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); experience in electronics, and small assembly preferred.
- J-Standard soldering certification and ability to read and understand blueprints is required.
- Ability to apply basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to communicate verbally with management and co-workers, including the ability to speak simple sentences; listen to others without interrupting and obtaining clarification when needed.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, work orders, and memos. Ability to understand inspection procedures and write simple sentences.
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions and procedures furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to operate the equipment used in the department, including but not limited to soldering, electrical test equipment, sander, and the computer.
- Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisor.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
- Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisors direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
