We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Wichita, KS team. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for payment of bank invoices, vendor tax reporting and intercompany payments.

Essential functions of the role:

• Ensure proper GL account and cost center coding

• Process invoices, employee reimbursements, and company credit card payments

• Select proper approval process

• Identify and report to management unusual invoices

• Respond to vendor and employee inquiries

• Collect accurate vendor information as required for tax reporting

• Maintain knowledge of current Sales and Consumers’ Compensating Use Tax

• Apply Consumers’ Compensating Use Tax to invoices as required and remit monthly

• Verify end of year vendor tax file

• Review sponsorship and charitable contribution payments for collecting receipts

• Reconcile Accounts Receivable on the Bank to determine amounts owed

• Create billing for the bank subsidiaries and holding company

• Enter invoices for approval and post payments on the individual entities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1 year of accounting training or 2 years of general bank operations work experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred
