JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21089 JOB TITLE: Facilities Technician III - University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Rock County Campus - Janesville, WI INTRODUCTION: The Department of UW Rock County Facilities Planning and Management at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Rock County Campus (Janesville, WI) seeks a Facilities Technician III (FP031). JOB DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, this position provides routine and complex maintenance and repair work of a semi-skilled nature for university buildings, assuming a first responder role to a wide variety of maintenance issues. This position performs preventive maintenance and minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs for air compressors, air handling units, pumps, water heaters and softeners, exhaust fans, emergency generators and other related equipment. More complex repairs and installations are performed by departmental craft workers with assistance from the Facilities Technician III. This position normally works 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday, but may need to work outside these hours occasionally.
