Worksites: 158 Old Turnpike Rd. Califon, NJ 07830 and multiple worksites within Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Somerset and Union counties. Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment or to heat or move materials, such as asphalt. Inspect, repair, and perform routine maintenance on pumps, which includes inspecting the motor, valve and other parts of the machine. Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools. Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed. Install sewer, water, or storm drain pipes, using pipe-laying machinery or laser guidance equipment. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Operate jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement. Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixers. Smooth or finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools. Pour concrete into forms. Carry, hold, position and remove forms from set concrete using saws, hammers, nails or bolts. Position, join, align, or seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections or pipes. Grade land; spread straw. Load/unload equipment from trucks and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. Clean work sites. Work performed at multiple worksites within Union, Somerset, Ocean, Morris, Monmouth, Middlesex, Mercer, Hunterdon, Essex and Bergen counties. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire background checks may be required of foreign and domestic workers based oncontract requirements. Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. driver's license within 60 days of hire.
