POSITION: Mental Health Counselor STATUS: Non-Exempt Hourly position PAY: $26.44 an hour REPORTS TO: Clinical Director HOURS: 40 hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may require evenings ) Monday-Friday QUALIFICATIONS: ? masters level counselor or provisional level counselor mental health. ? preference is given if there is two years experience. ? Experience working in addiction in an addiction treatment center. ? Demonstrated ability to deal successfully with program and/or accreditation standards. ? Competency in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, and groups with behavioral health/ substance abuse problems in a primary care /residential setting. ? ASAM educated or willing to become certified. ? Support evidence-based practices that support social and emotional well-being, prevention approaches, person-centered interventions and self-directed and/or recovery driven support services. ? Support a holistic approach. ? Must pass a background and reference check. ? No criminal record. ? Valid drivers license. ? Reliable transportation. POSITION SUMMARY: The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual and group therapy to clients in an inpatient setting. The person chosen for this position will provide treatment planning, assistance in navigating clients through programming, and will be an active member of the MDT and treatment team. JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plan. *Conduct group therapy sessions within assigned intensive program. *Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, community professionals, and community agencies to ensure continuity of care. *Maintain timely clinical documentation in compliance with the programs policies and regulatory standards. *Maintain and enhances knowledge of current clinical practice. *Maintain at all times the confidentiality of former and current clients protected health information, as directed by state and federal law, and program policy. Additionally, maintain confidentiality in any position with access to employee personal information. *Attend all meetings per program requirements. *Complete all assigned mandatory trainings. *Perform other duties as assigned. *Provide individual therapy to clients. *Assist clients in transitioning through program. PERFORMANCE / EVALUATION SCHEDULE: A. After the initial ninety (90) days of employment or within the first 6 month if circumstances cause delay B. At least annually thereafter.
