Sodexo General Manager 4 - Food in WESTMINSTER, Maryland
Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 4, Food to lead our food service team at Carroll Lutheran Village, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Westminster, Maryland, close by Owings Mills and Baltimore. The General Manager will oversee the daily dining operations serving approximately 420 residents. Reporting to the Area General Manager, this role involves managing 7 managers and an hourly staff of approximately 150 employees. Strong communication, client relations, and team-building skills are essential.
What You'll Do
have oversight of the daily dining operations including dining room service, 2 restaurants, 2 bistros, and 1 pub;
deliver high-quality food service;
implement Sodexo systems and programs, and oversee training of staff;
continuously evaluates service to ensure resident and client satisfaction;
drive employee engagement and resident satisfaction through strong leadership skills;
integrate fully within our client's organization and be a trusted advisor with a customer service focus;
achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
develop strategic plans;
create a positive environment; and
ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

What You Bring
5 or more years previous food service management experience with a strong hospitality background;
strong financial acumen;
a dietary manager certification (CDM/CFPP) is needed or must be willing to obtain;
a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills with the ability to work collaboratively;
the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
knowledge of compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards;
the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
