Job Description:
Responsible for building maintenance services at Headquarters and Field Facilities located in CO, WY, NE.
Note:
There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of three job grade levels: Facilities Maintenance Technician I, job grade 4; Facilities Maintenance Technician II, job grade 5; or Senior Maintenance Technician, job grade 6. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected, and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician
Hiring Salary Range: $70,000-$86,000
Facilities Maintenance Technician II
Hiring Salary Range: $63,000-$76,000
Facilities Maintenance I
Hiring Salary Range: $56,000-$68,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the performance and coordination of building and grounds maintenance services. Areas of responsibility for maintenance of facilities include, but are not limited to:
building’s exterior and roof repair
plumbing and electrical repair
heating ventilation and air-conditioning systems
landscaping and irrigation systems
manual and automatic gates
cubicle and furniture installations
janitorial
meeting setups
snow removal
perform other duties as assigned
Responsible to observe and communicate performance of routine contracted building services to supervisor.
Set up conference room(s) for meetings, as required.
Responsible to review facilities premises and report potential, environmental/hazmat non-compliance matters to Transmission South Manager and supervisor.
Responsible for the observance of related safety practices and procedures.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to functional area.
Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.

Qualifications:
Education and Training
- High school level reading and math and position relative, vocational courses desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents
Basic understanding of building systems maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building management software.
Ability to work eight hours a day, starting as early as 6:00 a.m., and potentially work evenings and/or weekends as required.
Ability to operate small power tools and equipment.
Willing and ability to be on call rotation.
Willing and able to lift 50 lbs.
Willing and ability to travel.
Willing and able to work outside.
Willing and able to work overtime when needed.
Must be able to demonstrate that he/she can perform all of the essential functions of the position.
Must be able to demonstrate history of ability to positively communicate and coordinate with colleagues and external maintenance, architectural and engineering companies.
Other:
- Willingness to travel, as required. (Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.)
