MTech Mechanical Driver in Westminster, Colorado
Position Title: Driver FLSA Status: Non- Exempt Department: Purchasing/Warehouse/Operations Date: 2024 Reports to: Warehouse Manager Location: Westminster, CO* Wage Range: $20-24/hr.

Job Summary Assist the Warehouse Manager with all warehouse activities in addition to acting as primary driver responsible for delivery of MTech product, equipment, and tools to various jobsites when needed.
*Drivers are regularly required to drive to MTech jobsites in areas all over Colorado, including (but not limited to) the front range, western slope (Eagle), Southern CO (CO Springs) and Northern CO.
Warehouse Ensure vendor deliveries are recorded and verified according to MTech Vendor Policy Receive, record and notify appropriate person of miscellaneous deliveries Assist in keeping an orderly, neat and clean warehouse which includes Office, Counter, Inventory racks, Tool racks, All warehouse floor space, Rear storage area Assist with snow removal when necessary and general facility maintenance Assist in deliveries as needed including loading and unloading deliveries Inventory Assist in maintaining the quantity, quality and type of materials as established by MTech Receive, record and rack all jobsite material that has been approved for inventor by Purchasing Manager. Tools Assist in control and coordinate operation of all company tools Record current condition and location of all company tools Evaluate and recommend replacing or repairing damaged tools Identify and record all new tools into company system Fulfill tool needs for Job Supervisor with assistance from Project Manager Ensure all tools are safe and are in full operable condition Ensure acknowledgement and possession of receipts of all tools Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position Other duties as assigned. Driving Daily safety inspection of delivery trucks Adherence to vehicle preventative maintenance schedule for delivery trucks Perform delivery schedule to job sites in an expeditious and safe manner Commitment to safe and courteous operation of company vehicles while performing job Loads, unloads and moves materials within warehouse or work site Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved/transported Operates trucks or other company vehicles with a capacity of 1 to 13 tons Pick up and deliver materials from vendors to projects Responsible for safe handling of materials, vehicles and maintaining delivery schedules Assists in the warehouse with various tasks when needed/slower delivery days Ability to work extended/over-time hours, including weekends and travel outside of Denver when needed Ability to drive in all types of adverse weather conditions Qualifications High School diploma/GED required Must have a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record Preferred 2- 4 years working in a construction or warehouse environment Preferred 1-2 years commercial driving experience Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission required Ability to drive a 24-foot box truck, 28-foot box truck and 28-foot flatbed truck Outstanding time management and organizational skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong negotiations and computer skills Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed Must be detail oriented with excellent multi-tasking ability Prior forklift experience preferred
