Survey Software Test Engineer Intern
Department: Geospatial
Location: Westminster, CO
Commitment: Full Time (40 hours per week) for 12 months
Start Date: Summer 2025
Job Summary The Test Engineer applies survey and GIS knowledge to the design and quality assessment of Trimble's office software flagship for the geomatics industry. This professional uses analytical skills to solve and test solutions to complex problems. This intern helps translate user needs into practical workflows, assists in designing innovative solutions, and ensures quality product releases. From optimizing the user experience, to gathering data with cutting-edge state-of-the-art equipment, and testing the newest product features. The Geomatics Test Engineer is a key contributor to the end-to-end hardware-software integration process.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities Include:
Providing survey and GIS knowledge to guide product development
Identifying workflows to provide the best user experience
Testing and ensuring the highest quality of the software solution to maintain customer
satisfaction
Gathering data to support our new features and workflows
Your Background and Experience:
Pursuing a degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics Engineering
Surveying experience strongly preferred
Strong computer skills, test design, Excel, database, networking, and experience with
spatial databases (preferred)
Experience with office/field survey workflows is preferred but not required
GIS background and experience with GIS systems (Esri products, ArcGIS/ArcMap) a plus
True team player, autonomous, reactive & proactive, motivated to work in an international environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Availability for at least 12 months
Product Marketing Intern

Gaining hands-on and in-field experience with Trimble GNSS, total stations, laser scanners, and field software solutions.
