A Typical Day

The First Vice President Pricing Strategy is responsible for pricing strategies, margin management, and product development. As the FVP Pricing Strategy, you will work to support the strategic goals of the firm and adhere to the documented and corporately approved policies.

The FVP Pricing Strategy will:

  • Oversee a team that will develop and test complex pricing strategies as well as perform complex analysis to create solutions for corporate strategic initiatives

  • Develop business requirements and test plans to enhance pricing systems that support new mortgage products, pricing or loan origination process changes.

  • Effectively operationalize pricing strategies to meet correspondent client, investor, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provides operational leadership to the design, administration and implementation of all departmental programs, policies and processes.

  • Provides guidance for direct reports and engenders a high-performance workforce culture through appropriate motivation activities, incentives and rewards in order to attract, retain and engage the talent needed to achieve and support the strategic direction.

  • Ensures consistency of best practices, compliance with corporate and governmental standards and application of policies across all locations.

  • Work with Pricing Vendors and Hedge Advisers

  • Report on pricing activities for the department. Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values.

  • Work in conjunction with Division leadership and internal customers in Capital Markets, Margin Management, Sales, Fulfillment, and I.T. to execute strategic plans in support of the company’s strategic and operational priorities.

  • Contribute to the development of business unit goals and action plans to anticipate and support the needs of a growth-oriented company.

What You’ll Bring

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, business or related field required.

  • Conversant with technical and critical components of department strategies.

  • Contemporary knowledge of business concepts, life cycles and processes.

  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices & procedures.

  • Relies on extensive experience & judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Performs a variety of tasks.

  • General computer skills: including use of Microsoft Office Suite

  • 7+ years in mortgage finance, preferably with experience in Secondary Market or Correspondent Lending

  • Lead, train, prioritize and review team members' work.

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, quantitative analysis skills

  • Expertise performing loan calculations and annuity math.

  • Conversant building structured queries to data mine using SQL or Snowflake

  • Proficient building spreadsheet tools to test enhancements

    Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

    Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

Salary

$110,000 - $170,000
