University Hospitals Health System Speech Therapist Pediatric in Westlake, Ohio

Description Position Summary/Essential Duties: Organizes and conducts defined portions of the Speech-Language Pathology to facilitate the habilitation or rehabilitation of people with speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing disabilities. Directs patient participation in selected activities to establish, enhance, and restore speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing abilities or compensate for their loss. Essential duties include: Patient evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning Patient treatment Documentation *This position will split support between the Cochlear Implant Center of Excellence along with general Speech-Language Pathology Required For All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
