Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN), Position Description Number D2170P01 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Responsibilities As a SUPV IT SPEC (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-13, you will provide supervision, subordinate guidance, and team leadership to dual status, non-dual status, and civilian employees. They are accountable for directing the information and data integrity of all base and tenant organizations, as well as geographically separated units (GSUs) and communications and information functions. As the supervisor, the incumbent coordinates with DOD, AF, MAJCOMS, National Guard Bureau (NGB), other activities, and Wing Flying Units to procure, distribute, maintain, and replace requirements for all information technology (IT) and telecommunications infrastructure. Performs long-term planning and organizational development necessary to accomplish IT and telecommunications functions for programs essential ANG daily operations, training, and readiness missions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: Officer Only GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of ADP system design, such as what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project. Must have experience direction an organization of expert technical and administrative specialists, systems analysts, program managers, and supervisors. Must have experience being responsible for all aspects of information technology and telecommunications operations and support. Must have experience assessing and ensuring compliance, supportability and planning for a wide variety of programs and operations including but not limited to maintenance, logistics plans, supply, resource management, training, quality control, standardization and evaluation, communications security, information assurance, wireless systems, telecommunications, software analysis, customer support (help desk/job control) communication networks (voice, video, and data), network control centers, plans and programs, local computer program development and computer systems operations. Recruitment, Retention, and Relocation Incentive may be authorized up to 25% of base pay for a max of 4 years pending TAG approval. * Superior Qualifications may be considered for this position. CLB 22JU Military Requirements: -For Dual-Status Technician positions service affiliation under Title 32 USC 709 is required. -Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS.
