POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Nurse Manager is expected to adhere to system and department compliance policies and any applicable laws and regulations. The Nurse Manager assumes accountability and responsibility for effectively executing philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the service. The Nurse Manager is responsibility is centralized within five major areas: Clinical Practice and Quality Outcomes, Human Resource Leadership, Management of the Environment, Financial Growth and Stewardship, and Strategic Planning.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

• 12 bed Modern Emergency Department, equipped with advanced technology and access to a network for specialists

• This unit is well-staffed with ancillary support, management, supervisors and multiple nurse educators & coordinators - on each shift!

• Multimodal orientation program utilizing latest evidence-based online education programs, inactive classroom lectures, and high-fidelity simulation .
