Make a Difference

The Director of Nursing will oversee cardiovascular services at Community Howard Regional Health and at our new, state-of-the-art hospital in Westfield, opening November 2026. This is a unique opportunity to initiate a new nursing team. The Director will oversee strategic planning, business development, clinical outcomes, quality management, and excellence in customer service. This position provides leadership and directives towards the development, implementation and assessment of programming and policy and procedures. This position will report to the VP of Nursing/CNE of the hospital.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels of the organization verbally, in writing, and through technology such as dashboards and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Bachelor’s degree of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing is (Required)

  • Master’s degree within five (5) years from date of hire (Required)

  • Three (3) or more years of progressive management/leadership experience (Required)

  • Five (5) or more years of nursing experience (Required)

  • Experience in cardiovascular services (Preferred)

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) (Required)

  • Certification in relevant specialty or nursing administration within three (3) years of hire (Required)

  • Collaborates and builds effective relationships

  • Demonstrates strong negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Independently resolve problems, plan strategically, and think creatively and critically

  • Knowledge of best practices, processes laws, regulations, tools, and software with the subject matter of the position

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Able to build, motivate, and lead high-performing teams
