Vertiv Corporation Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in Westerville, Ohio

Due to ongoing growth, a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor is required immediately for a leading technology infrastructure solutions and manufacturing company. The primary responsibility for this person will be to oversee and manage all aspects of project cost control, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives, across a multitude of projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in project cost management for large General Contractors or large-scale product suppliers, preferably with experience in the mechanical / electrical industry. Proficiency in cost estimation software and advanced spreadsheet skills are essential. Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders are also required. RESPONSIBILITIES * Track and manage Change Order Requests and Subcontractor Change Orders, ensuring accurate pricing and alignment with project schedules. * Key support and management of construction claims. * Provide guidance to project / technical teams, identify legal and contractual problems and opportunities across varied projects. * Management of subcontractor / supplier accounts to ensure continued value for money is achieved across all projects. * Attend and facilitate change management meetings, updating relevant logs and documents accordingly. * Review and verify Subcontractor's Change Item Logs, ensuring accuracy and timely incorporation into project billing. * Ensure all financial tracking tools are updated regularly and verify accuracy of cost dashboards and KPI reporting. * Assist the project delivery teams to ensure all contractual entitlements are submitted and recovered. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying * Bachelor's degree in Construction Management / Engineering or a related subject. * Experience in analyzing and driving improvement in data reporting with Finance and IT systems. * Ability to deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations by creating visual summaries of quantitative cost information. Build and continually improve dashboards to provide insight. * Must have demonstrable skills with Microsoft office applications, particularly Excel. Smartsheet and Power BI experience beneficial. * Experience in a global, multi-cultural environment, & comfortable working autonomously. * Occasional travel domestic or international.
