Vertiv is hiring aBuyer in Westerville, OH who will purchase assigned commodities for Americas business demand requirementsin coordination with Americas Commodity and SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning) teams. RESPONSIBILITIES * Tactical creation and issuance of purchase orders to approved suppliers based on the demand. * Maintains accurate purchase order information and delivery dates in ERP system. * Expedite material as needed to support production needs driven by customer demand; defer material deliveries as appropriate to support inventory optimization plan. * Supportsinternal customer i.e., Offering managers/Warranty team/NPDI/Project Managers * Reconcile / resolve invoice discrepancies and route next steps to appropriate functional group. * Coordinate information between suppliers, Materials & Commodity Management; provide material availability, pricing, and shipping information. * Adheres to spot buy and freight cost management processes to minimize total cost to the business * Investigate multiple options with Commodity team for and negotiate favorable pricing/terms on spot buys. * Create/maintain purchase order lines for surcharges due to tariffs, freight, expediting. * Coordinate with quality team and logistics team with any manufactory rework due to quality issues * Performs other relatedduties as assigned.
