A leading manufacturer in the defense and military sector is seeking a skilled 1st Class CNC Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift at our facility in Westbury, NY. The ideal candidate will have advanced CNC machining experience, be capable of producing high-precision parts, and adhere to tight tolerances while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.

• understanding of CNC programming, machine setups, and tooling.

• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce precision parts.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure parts meet exact tolerances.

• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.

• Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary to optimize production and ensure accuracy.

• Troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous production flow.

• Maintain machines by performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
