Description We are seeking a Systems Administrator for our manufacturing operation in Westbrook, Maine. The selected individual will be a key member of our team, focusing primarily on the support, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft Managed Desktop environments. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and requires expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud services, and endpoint management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with Microsoft support and partners to identify and rectify any issues related to MMD.

• Implement and maintain system backups, disaster recovery plans, and system redundancy measures to ensure the stability of the environment.

• Administer servers, workstations, and network devices, performing routine software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades.

• Provide technical support to end users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity in a timely and efficient manner.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies through Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.

• Monitor and implement security protocols and best practices to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.

• Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies for all devices within the MMD environment.

• Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to identify needs and implement technological solutions.

• Generate and review reports on system performance, security, compliance, and endpoint health within the MMD ecosystem. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Systems Administrator role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Office 365, Windows Server, and Azure.

• Demonstrable experience in providing desktop support to a variety of users.

• Proven track record in Software Asset Management, with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing costs.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field.

• Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or CompTIA A+ are advantageous.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness and ability to keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
