ManpowerGroup Materials Engineer in Westborough, Massachusetts

Our client, is seeking a Highly Skilled Materials Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Metallurgic Engineering or Physics and 5+ years of Failure Analysis experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Materials Engineer

Location: Westborough, MA

Pay Range: $65.00-$78.00 Hourly

What’s the Job?

• Perform hands-on root cause analysis (RCA) and in-depth characterizations using advanced analytical tools. In Addition, will be recommending corrective actions and conveying results to the multi-functional team as well as upper management.

• Work with HW Reliability, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design teams identify root cause and drive resolution for failure originating in product development, production, and in the field.

• Maintain RCA repository database, write failure reports, and deliver presentations for customer or internal use that elucidate the root cause of failures and may suggest possible solutions.

• Demonstrate competence with the operation and application of standard analysis tools and lab equipment.

• Evaluate and introduce new equipment and techniques to the failure analysis flow.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Metallurgic Engineering or Physics with 5+ years experience in Failure Analysis.

• Must have hands-on experience with materials sample preparation and understanding of a variety of materials characterization techniques (SEM, CT/X-Ray, XRF Analyzer, Profilometers, etc.) and fundamental failure analysis methodology.

• Hands on experience in Material Characterization of Metal, Polymer, Composites, etc. Creating comprehensive technical reports with crisp and concise data for presenting to cross-functional teams.

• Excellent Communication skills both Verbal and Written.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
