We are seeking a highly motivated Test Technician to join our Hardware Test Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and skilled at working in a team environment. This position requires the ability to work with minimal direction, the capacity to work quickly, desire to roll up your sleeves and dive in, and ability to help identify root cause of technical issues.

Key job responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and repairs for test equipment and fixtures to ensure optimal functionality.

• Prepare, set up, and execute tests and experiments with precision and adherence to protocols.

• Build fixtures to support testing requirements and ensure smooth operations

• Assist in the creation of test cases and plans, updating existing test documentation as required.

• Collect, analyze, and deliver data while contributing to comprehensive test reports.

• Perform verification testing on system components to confirm compliance with requirements.

• Provide detailed feedback to teams to enhance quality performance throughout the data collection process.

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.

• Support Hardware Development and Test Engineers in prototype builds and validation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical or process-related challenges efficiently.

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.

• Apply experience in vibration and environmental testing to execute specialized assessments

A day in the life

The Hardware Test Technician on the team focuses on conducting environmental testing, requiring a strong foundation in electromechanical systems. The position involves analyzing test data to identify and resolve issues, reviewing test results for accuracy, and updating documentation as needed. Success in the role demands technical expertise in Vibration and thermal testing knowledge, analytical skills, and attention to detail to ensure the reliability and performance of hardware in challenging environments.

About the team

The Hardware Test Engineering team is responsible for testing any new prototype/pre-production hardware designs within Amazon's robotic solutions. We validate that any design meets our high standards for quality, efficiency, and most of all, safety.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of technical support experience

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in Vibration and thermal testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ Years in Hardware test engineering environment
