Kitchen Porter, Captain Parkers Pub, Inc. (West Yarmouth, MA): The Kitchen Porter will clean the entire kitchen upon opening to ensure it is ready for service including cleaning/sterilizing countertops, kitchen walls, floors and floormats, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks. Coordinate with front-of-house contract cleaners to ensure all front-of-house spaces are clean and stocked. Clean the outdoor dining areas and power wash furniture once a week during the summer season. Walk the property and keep exterior spaces free of any debris and trash. Manage inventory for cleaning supplies and miscellaneous restaurant products and work with the Chef to place orders for correct quantities. Receive orders, cross-check invoices to ensure proper items have been delivered. Organize items into kitchen storage and clean the food storage area such as freezers, refrigerators, shelving and loading dock. Manage the Dishwashing team and assist them in cleaning dirty dishes, cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans and loading dishes into the dishwasher. Remove kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of all waste properly. Organizing all glass and aluminum can/bottle redemption items. Support the Chef in basic food preparation when needed including cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items. Assist Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff. Minimum Requirements: 2 years experience working in a restaurant kitchen.
