West Seneca Central School District Speech Language Pathologist (Speech Teacher) -Substitute in West Seneca, New York

The West Seneca Central School District is currently seeking a substitute for a Speech Teacher at the middle school level. This will be a full-time, temporary appointment beginning immediately through a date to be determined, for an individual who holds certification in the Speech tenure area.

This position could extend to a long-term substitute appointment with salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teacher's Association's collective bargaining agreement, commensurate and prorated to the appointment time frame.

Roles:

  • Speech teacher working across all levels - K through 12, ensuring educational relevance in general education and special education classrooms

  • Providing Speech Language therapy to students

  • Serving a wide range of disorders (speech sound disorders, language, fluency)

  • Highlighting language/literacy and culturally competent services

  • Role may include, but not limited to, working with students in the home/non-public buildings or sites outside the school campus.

Range of responsibilities:

  • Prevention, assessment, intervention

  • Data collection

  • Compliance - appropriate teaching certificate and NYS license (or ASHA CCC) for Medicaid billing

  • Ability to work with families, students and collaborate with teachers and administration

Previous completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
