Bullet Guard Corporation, a subsidiary of Total Security Solutions, is looking for a qualified individual to join our team as a Woodshop/Millworker. This is a full-time position based in our West Sacramento, CA headquarters and reports to the Production Manager.

Wood Shop / Millworker
Bullet Guard Corporation is looking for a qualified individual to join the Wood Shop. This person will be responsible for manufacturing specific wood and acrylic components for bullet-resistant barrier systems and will work in a manufacturing or customer environment. This Wood Shop employee will work with a team to complete projects under pressure and at a fast pace.
This person must have a broad range of knowledge related to various equipment, automated panel saws, hand tools, and an eye for fit and finish completed projects.
Experience with laminates and spray adhesives is required.
Job Description:
Working with Fiberglass, Laminate, Formica, Veneer, etc. to create wood based bullet resistant materials
Filing and sanding edges of finished material
Utilizing spray glue to adhere materials to bullet resistant products
Following safety guidelines at all times within the shop
Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints and interpret measurements
Intermediate understanding of basic carpentry tools
Ability to read and understand project drawings and blueprints to manufacture appropriate elements
Carpentry skills with experience manufacturing cabinets, tables, countertops, and doors
Able to operate a variety of equipment: a variety of saws and any other tool deemed necessary completion of project
Ability to glue laminate on countertops, cabinets, and doors without wasting materials
Hard worker with multi-tasking ability
Ability to follow instructions and pick things up quickly
Initiative to learn new things and apply them to your trade
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment-loud, exposure to temperature changes, dusty, etc.
Qualifications
5+ years carpentry experience with emphasis on working with laminates
Fit and finish experience
Experience with Formica and Corian is a plus
Prior shop experience preferred
Experience operating power saws, sanders, routers, and other heavy machinery

Hourly Wage:
$27 - $30/hour based on experience
