SUMMARY OF JOB:
Has advanced knowledge of the principles, concepts and practices applicable to a wide range of work in bioanalytics and broad knowledge of principles and concepts in other disciplines
Applies technical and departmental knowledge to assist in experiment/project design that will enable department/group/team to meet goals
Recognized as a technical expert and scientific contributor
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides guidance and develops regulated bioanalytical methods for the quantitation of biotherapeutic drug candidates using ligand binding assay based platforms such as Meso-Scale Discovery, Gyrolab, Ella, and other emerging technologies
Provides scientific guidance on internal and external bioanalytical assay development, qualification/validation and sample analysis, in support of preclinical and clinical studies
Explains difficult concepts and influences others to adopt a different point of view, when appropriate
Frequently develops and expected to create novel processes and hypotheses using new ideas and knowledge
Interprets and applies, using own discretion, regulatory/compliance/scientific requirements
As required, publishes and presents technical papers to external audiences; participates in creating and authorship of significant internal publications
Uses own scientific judgment to apply and adapt standard methods and techniques with increased independence by applying prior work experience
Makes decisions that require developing new options to solve complex problems
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related Biological Sciences discipline
BA/BS with at least 10 years, MS with at least 6 years, or Ph.D. with at least 4 years of related experience

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
