Basic Requirement for Supervisory Operations Research Management: Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. You must attach a copy of your transcripts. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Maintaining current IT requirements and/or identifying future IT requirements; 2) Researching current industry standards related to simulation and/or artificial intelligence; 3) Assisting with the coordination and/or execution of a budget AND 4) Assisting in performing duties such as assigning workload, evaluating performance etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
