Job Title: Field Technical Service Technician

Job Description

The Field Technical Service Technician is responsible for tracking line performance and quality trends, data entry, assisting with inventory counts, and performing basic QC tests in the field. Responsibilities include assisting advanced FTS members with daily operations and projects, tracking and communicating inventory levels, generating reports to track performance, monitoring and tracking online performance and incoming quality, performing QC tests on-site as required, working with customers and supervisors to adjust production batches, documenting process and robot program changes, monitoring sample submissions and production trials, and participating in continuous improvement activities.

Hard Skills

  • 2 years of relevant coatings experience preferred

  • Ability to work with 2 component coatings and isocyanates

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other office programs

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in West Point, Georgia.

Duties are performed indoors in the Kia plant and require the ability to perform tasks with constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines. The Kia West Point assembly plant in Georgia is large, covering 2,200 acres and represents a significant investment of $2.8 billion with an annual production capacity of over 350,000 vehicles. The plant operates 24 hours a day, across three shifts. Shifts: 2nd (2:30p – 10:30p) and 3rd (10:30p – 6:30a).
